OIC formalises links with eminent Oxford academics and industry leaders

The seven Scientific Partners bring valuable physical and life sciences and entrepreneurial expertise to the OIC team. This vast experience will be instrumental in assisting OIC to continue identifying the latest scientific breakthroughs with the highest commercial impact, further enabling OIC to play a key role in taking world-leading science from the laboratory to the real world. It is hoped that closer ties with leading academics in Oxford will further ingrain OIC’s relationship with and standing as a preferred investor in the Oxford ecosystem.

Drawing on vast entrepreneurial experience from a range of high-profile industries, including the life sciences, advanced engineering and finance, the eight CAB members will be a valuable resource to OIC portfolio companies. By providing access to a wealth of commercial knowledge and high-level contacts, the CAB will instrumental in assisting portfolio companies to navigate the transition from start-up to global scale-up—something many UK spinouts find challenging.
