Clinical trial with OrganOx Metra wins Medawar Medal at BTS conference
Preliminary results from the NAPLES trial (Normothermic mAchine Perfusion of the Liver to Enable transplantation in difficult recipientS) with the OrganOx Metra were presented for the first time at the British Transplant Society (BTS) meeting in Belfast in early March receiving the Medawar Medal.
In recognition of Peter Medawar the ‘’father’’ of transplantation immunology, and founding Society Chair, the Society awards two prestigious medals at each Annual Congress to the young doctors/scientists presenting the best clinical and scientific papers.
