KEIT Spectrometers was spun out from the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s (STFC) Rutherford Appleton Laboratories in 2012 to commercialise a spectrometer for real-time monitoring of industrial chemical processes using technology initially developed for a Mars mission.
The Company produces IRmadillo™, a robust spectrometer contained in an explosion-proof housing that can be attached to industrial reaction vessels, allowing manufacturers to alter input variables in response to real-time data on the progress of a chemical reaction or industrial process, increasing yields and quality while reducing the number of failed batches.
Dan Wood is the CEO of Keit Spectrometers based outside of Oxford, England.
